The Body Shop’s UK and German businesses, which recently fell into administration in February of 2024, have gained the interest of Next and Marks & Spencer.

In April, FRP announced it was mulling a company voluntary arrangement (CVA) to rescue The Body Shop. However, the sale of the business and its assets did not proceed because the CVA could not be agreed upon.

According to the FRP Advisory, The Body Shop has received roughly 70 bids from potential buyers.

The FRP Advisory was previously approached by Next in February to purchase assets. However, it did not continue at the time because The Body Shop’s brand and intellectual property were not part of the administration process.

This is the second time over the past year The Body Shop has been for sale, as Aurelius Group acquired the brand in November of 2023.
